Speaker for 29 September 2021: W Bro. Samuel Kyburz, “Hiramic Legend – A Survey of Hypotheses Concerning It”

W Bro. Samuel Kyburz is a Past Master of Whitewright Masonic Lodge No.167, Charter Junior Deacon of Mercury Lodge No.950, District Education Officer for District 3 of the Grand Lodge of Texas.

Outside of his craft lodge he active as a 32° Mason of the Valley of Dallas, Orient of Texas, SRSJ, 1St Principal (Excellent King) of Sherman Chapter no.62 Royal Arch Masons and Deputy Master of Sherman Council No.43 Royal & Select Masters.

Outside of Freemasonry, he is a proud father of three wonderful children. W Bro. Samual works for an international manufacturer of plastics and textile products headquartered in Sherman, Texas and I enjoy traveling whenever I have the opportunity.

The presentation is an exposé of Reverend Canon Brother W. W. Covey-Crump’s 1922 research on the genesis of the Hiramic Legend into Craft Freemasonry. From the mundane and well known theories to the more exotic and colorful speculations, we will take a look at some of the more interesting interpretations that have arisen over the years and learn more about R.C. Bro. Covey-Crump and the legacy he left behind.
