Season’s Greetings from the Grand Master of Manitoba

December is traditionally a time for family and friends to gather and celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. But the COVID-19 pandemic will make this season difficult for many, as we stay at home and celebrate the holidays with only your immediate household.

The Holiday Season is the time to reflect on the many values we learn throughout our Masonic lives. We must have faith in our belief that the world can be a better place, the hope that we are at a turning point with the new vaccine and will be able to celebrate our lives in a manner we are accustomed to, and the practise of charity in terms supporting our friends and family with compassion and the love we all need and deserve.

The holiday season has the ability to lift our spirits and remind us the New Year will be a more prosperous, healthy, and peaceful time. The season reminds us of how fortunate we are to have the friends and family because of the relationships we have developed through Freemasonry. It is one of the greatest gifts we receive in our lives.

The end of the year is also a time of year for reflection. We take stock of where we came from and have a moment to think about where we are going, as we pursue the future with hope.

Susan and I wish you and your families the happiest and healthiest of holidays. May your new year be all you hope for, and may it be sprinkled with love and friendship. Season’s Greetings!

Fraternally yours,

Most Worshipful Brother Gordon and Lady Susan Fardoe
